Red horse chestnut

Right in the middle of the village is this lovely horse chestnut and it is the rarer red variety. Is it my imagination, or is everything flowering better this year?
I was in the village for another trip to the dentist. This one was more of a challenge as I had a tooth extracted. I have had a quiet day so far but I am looking forward to this evening when my WI Camera Group is having a Zoom meeting. We have all sent our photos to the organiser and she will share them with us. The subject this month is May, so I guess there will be a lot of bluebells.
