Tatton Park - Japanese Garden

My meeting went on longer than expected but we were away by 11.30am. We're both National Trust members so we decided to go to Tatton Park as neither of us had been before.

We had a lovely walk around the gardens. There's a lot to see now but they will be splendid in the summer. The Japanese garden was great but you could only walk around it, not through it, which would disappoint any blipper as you can't get a good angle. We negotiated the maze and got to the centre (big kids at heart) then sat and laughed as we watched two pairs of older ladies try and fail to reach the centre.

After a visit to the cafe we had a walk through the Mansion. Lovely, but I would rather be outside. Then a drive through the park, stopping to let a herd of deer cross the road in front of us.

Back to mine for a meal and a lot more talking. We've tried to put the world to rights and it has been good to talk. Looking forward to another outing tomorrow. I could get used to these half weeks!
