Saxifraga canaliculata

Another lurgi day.  Slow start, a few chores, a little admin including some notes to support an updated access statement for the railway, a dogs outing to the ball field at Rhydyronen.  Fed myself and Jamie and waiting a visit from the tree man as the big eucalyptus in the garden needs some attention.

Saxifraga canaliculata is a 'mossy' saxifrage from NW Spain.   It's a bit more drought tolerant than a lot of the mossy species, so called because of their compact, divided mats of foliage.   This one has been slowly expanding in a small trough with a chunk of tufa in it.   The flowers last several weeks unless the weather turns very hot, the recent rain will have done it good.
