Drumclog Memorial Kirk

We have driven to Scotland where we are having an overnight stop at Kilmarnock.

The rain started pouring when we got about an hour from our destination and is still raining now.

On the way we passed this very unusual church called Drumclog Memorial Kirk built to remember the battle of Drumclog in 1679 when the Covanenters defeated the government troops

It has an octagonal copper clad spire and crow step gables.

I have turned off comments for now as I won’t have much time and will be without WiFi for a week after tomorrow.
