Eagles wings

It was another grey and windy day in the Northern Rivers region. I walked along Seven Mile Beach this afternoon, with four Brahminy Kites soaring overhead. These birds are found from India, though SE Asia, to eastern Australia. The Hindu religion venerates them as the sacred bird Garuda associated with the god Vishnu (Wikipedia). In Indonesia, the national airline Garuda uses stylised artwork of the bird as its logo
