Pencarrow

A great day today at Pencarrow house and gardens between Bodmin and Wadebridge in Cornwall. The present house dates from the 1760s, but an older house once stood on the site. I don’t normally do tours of grand houses but we did join a tour today. Only 7 of us, and we met the dowager, and her dog! The house has been in the same family, the Molesworth-St Aubyns for hundreds of years. Fascinating to see all the family portraits and hear the stories behind them.
