Another day Another big hike

Moving on day! We packed up pretty quickly after our breakfast in the apartment. We’ve enjoyed staying in this large apartment in this area - it’s been quiet for sleeping which is good and it’s top of the building so no folks walking about in top of us.

We walked down to the Torre dos Clérigos, 75 metres tall, early just as it opened before the crowds arrived. We didn’t have a ticket but wasn’t busy . Views from top were good , quite narrow staircase so imagine gridlock at times when busy! It’s 240 steps to get to the top but managed fine.

We stopped at a cafe near the apartment, as we had to check out at 11am and I had toast , jam and coffee. The toast was thick and already cut into soldiers which was fine but more difficult to butter:). It’s nice always being able to sit outdoors from dawn to dusk , I love that.

We check out leaving a note with the hairdryer that doesn’t work ( hair a mess). We walked to our new t place which is a hotel (only opened a month) at the top of the SAnta Caterina.. it’s very reasonable price for two nights but the price will probably go up once it’s established . All the fittings and fixtures are top notch and the staff are lovely.

We were there at 12 so dropped off our cases as room would be ready and headed in the bus to Serravles a park, museum and art deco house . Well it was fine but not worth the money and the art exhibition was too whacky for my mind to understand. The staff were surly apart from two and it was the least favourite part of the trip. I will review this in TA.

Bus back to near Our hotel and taken to our room. So nice , the beds were the comfiest with pure white good quality linen and good pillows.

Walked down our street and stopped off at Healthy Greens and had some very tasty food.

Today we walked over 25k steps and was exhausted.
