Sunday

I’ve lost track of what day it is.

Many places are closed on a Sunday so yesterday we bought pastries, yogurt and raspberries for breakfast today. Another hot day in Porto!

We booked to go into the Livrario Lello, the bookshop with Connections to HP. I’ve never read or watched a HP but half the world has and the queue to enter was mental! There was a separate queue for those who purchase a ticket (for the same amount, €5) online, which was practically empty. I dont understand why folks would queue in a large queue when a couple of clicks gets them in right away. It’s beautiful inside but folks are OBSESSED with getting photos on the staircase. I noticed this Chinese girl who was posing for at least 10 mins while her friend took numerous photos, showed her, and then had to take more. There was this massive old till with a nice story about it , used up until 2015, but folks didn’t even read it just took a photo. Anyway, each to their own. If it brings them pleasure lol!

Afterwards we though about some food and went to this restaurant near our apartment. We didn’t check the reviews if we had we would have read that the food is good but the service is abominably slow! Oh yes, correct. I kept calm and patient for a good while but then when someone who came after us got their food I asked if they had forgotten about ours. 1 hour after arriving our food arrived. Then I noticed the large amount of delivery motorbikes around and I guess they are cooking for them first!

Had a walk to the very beautiful Sao Bento railway station, covered in beautiful blue and white tiles depicting history of Porto. It was busy.

Later we walked down the Rua das Flores and lots of street buskers playing great music. Good atmosphere.
