Candytuft

Late morning we walked around to the cul-de-sac at the back of us, to pay respects to our neighbour B who’s funeral it was today. In her late 80’s but looking in her early 70’s, she was a sociable sort who loved a “a bit of banter”, so her very sudden and unexpected death was a shock.

The perennial candytuft is well past its best, but as it’s still in flower if fading, and was a young plant B gave us, it has to be today’s blip. She loved her plants and gardening, and we’ll miss the hanging basket she made up for us each year. And the view of her legs through our boundary hedge as she pottered about in her garden.
