St Aidens RSPB

Headed down to St Aidens and got some early views of the skylark and sedge warbler, and our first sighting of a bearded tit - just one, a female without the tell tale black beard on the face, pleased to see it. None of the photos of these stand up to scrutiny but as first photos of these 3 birds they are in extras.
I always love the great crested grebe so this is my blip for today, we were lucky to get good sightings of the black headed grebes too, and enjoyed our first damselflies of the year, it was a lovely hot sunny afternoon
We went to the festival concert at Pannal Church tonight. A good variety of music, finishing with Rutters uplifting ‘Feel the Spirit. All that musical talent and hard work - brilliant! It felt moving to listen to that rousing music in a packed church again - the event was delayed from 2020
