Trifle

I volunteered to make a Strawberry Trifle for our local Jubilee garden party in 3 weeks' time. However, as the winner of the Jubilee dessert competition was Lemon Swiss Roll and Amaretti Trifle, I'm going to try one of those instead. When I went to Waitrose this morning I thought I would be clever and buy some ingredients ahead of time, but the good ladies of Thame beat me to it. There were a lot of empty shelves in the lemon curd, jelly and tinned mandarin aisles...  Luckily for me the recipe suggests some short cuts so you don't have to make absolutely everything from scratch. So apart from making the Swiss Rolls and whipping the cream, it will largely be an assembly process.
