And did those feet in ancient times

The opening lines of Jerusalem by William Blake, whose grave this is in Bunhill Fields Burial Ground near Finsbury Square in Central London. It is a very plain memorial for the great man - a poet, painter and visionary. He was born in Soho in 1757 and died not that far away in Charing Cross in 1827. Although he spent almost all his life in London he was able to summon up transfigurative images rooted in landscape. I came upon the graveyard almost by accident  - it also contains the graves of John Bunyan and Daniel Defoe.
