Protection

The weather has turned against replacing the roof. Last week when so many other things delayed the removal of the asbestos containing tiles, and insulating and putting on the long run iron roof, it was warm and sunny every day. This week, it is wet and dreary every day so far and predicted to remain so. It's good to have the water, though.

Recently, a young man working on scaffolding was severely injured when the steel pole he was holding touched overhead power lines. He had to be resuscitated after his heart stopped, he has extensive burns, and he has lost both arms. Sensibly, our roofer has had the Power Company put a protective covering over the wires coming in to the house to diminish the risk of anything similar happening here. When the work starts.

It doesn't look like much, but it should do the job.
