Oriente Station

Portugal is of course renown for its tiles and you can find both old and new tiles on offer all over Lisbon. These, though, were a bit out of the ordinary! This is a small part of an extensive mural in Oriente Metro Station.

The rest of the day was outside, walking the promenade between Oriente and the Vasco da Gama bridge. The geometric architecture of the interconnected metro railway coach station was a tempting blip but too complicated for one shot. The Vasco da game bridge just goes on forever, and a panorama would be an almost flat line into blueness. The Spinnaker Tower here at least has a hotel and a cable car, which puts it way above the UK one on the Solent. And as for Bin-cat...

I guess you're going to have to wait for the Flickr album. So many shots, so many days. I've whittled the two thousand down to potentially two hundred now, although I'm only just the past halfway marker. Back blipping... Argh!
