Hadrian's Wall and Housesteads

We headed up north and east today to Northumberland.

We had some time to spare before we reached our cottage so went to Housesteads Roman Fort enroute. 

It's our third visit to this cottage just outside Belford, and a great base for the Northumberland coast.
