Tite and Locke

When I collected the Minx from Lancaster station on Wednesday before we went to the Dukes, she was waiting for me at the Tite and Locke, which is a new pub that's opened in the buildings at the station. The Minx said it was good and that we ought to go back at some point and today was our opportunity as she was taking the train back down to Salford.

And it is a really good pub: beautifully furnished and laid out, with an element of quirk that isn't irritating*. I chatted briefly to one of the bar staff, who said the place has only been open for a few weeks, taking up some rooms of the old station building that were originally used for a bit of storage.

It was a nice day so we were able to sit out on the benches, which are set to the back of the platform, and the beer was good, too!

*e.g. The writing in the window: "Observe our stunning traditional Czech beer font'.
