A day of cattle work.
Spent all day sorting out cows and calves . The cows all got their BVD booster vaccine, and 2 magnesium bolus over their throats. The vaccine prevents Bovine Viral Diarrhea,the bolus prevents staggers or magnesium tetany,which can kill them.
Of course most of the cows know what's coming and try everything they can to stop you grabbing their head and giving them their bolus.
Kept in any that are needing their tootsie's trimmed. Hopefully Roy will be here on Sunday to do that,so another full on day .
On a more worrying note,Juniors new driving license arrived today,as did these P plates I ordered for him. Now he wants to drive his mum's car. It seems like not so long ago I was that age and getting my new shiny green paper license. It's now held together with more sellotape than paper,but still better than a wee pink bit of plastic !
