Hastings returns to the KESR after over 50 years away!

Resplendent in blue with KESR lettering she arrived on the railway yesterday and awaits her first turn. One or two members remember when she was first here in 1965!

A full timetable on the railway today. Plenty to do at Wittersham Road with a two train service running 5 round trips and three crossing moves at my box. Not done that for a long time.

Throughout the morning I could hear at least two cuckoos calling across the fields. What a pleasure to hear them and know they’re back.
