Road reconstruction !! ;-(

It is now 10 pm here in the Netherlands. I still wanted to go for a walk. We first walked towards the connecting road, to see what they had already done. You can see the viewing direction in the photo. One photo up and the other photo down. On the photos, the bus stops look abandoned and unemployed for half a year. At most, they can now serve as shelter for the road workers when it rains.

With us, a very important connection road is closed for 6 1/2 months.
Instead of closing the road in sections, we would have been much happier.
They're going to reconstruct all the way and at the end of the moterway exit, comes a roundabout. They haven't started the reconstruction there yet, so why are they closing that stretch of road already?
We now have to drive an average of 5 km. And that through the narrow streets of our hometown where they narrowed the road a few years ago.
They do this to force traffic to slow down.
If you drive the other way you will end up in the same situation.
I've already explored a few back roads this week to see how best to ride. To my girlfriend you drove less than 5 minutes "often we also walked on foot" now it takes you 10 to 15 minutes. Only because you have to drive that far. And that with the current petrol prices. We pay €2.30 per liter of petrol.
Phew.
