The Rain Arrived

Crispin called to say his goodbyes after over twenty five years in Stromness.  He is relocating to Ullapool.  He’s 91 now and has had a lot of falls recently.  It was sad as he was quite lachrymose.

I put my brand new cold-frame out.  Earlier CMC had finished planting the tunnel with more leeks, carrots, neeps, parsnips etc. She watered the etcs.  A twisted completist asked about last night’s dance in Kirkwall.  It was a tremendous turn out.  Packed in fact.  I had to leave my jacket at David and Wendy’s table and then sit by Gladys.

Amongst dances were: Swedish Masquerade / Queen Victoria / Posties Jig / Military Two Step / Boston Two step / Westray One step / White Heather Foxtrot / Quickstep / Nine Pins (for the folk in fae Westray) / Britannia Two Step / Eva Three Step / St Bernard’s Waltz / Canadian Barndance / Gay Gordons / Pride of Erin Waltz and more.

It’s on to Scottish Country dancing tomorrow morning.   I’ll pay for you all.  Be there.
