Last time

2010, the last time Labor won an election (until now). We watched the count in Daisy the caravan at Warakurna in Western Australia, in the Shire of Ngaanyatjarraku, on the Great Central Road. As the extra shows, it was a highly stressful time.
That election resulted in a hung parliament and we had to wait for seventeen days while three independents negotiated with the two major parties to determine which they would support. Prime Minister Julia Gillard proved to be the better negotiator. That won't happen this time, since the result appears clear. But it's none the less a very exciting time and it feels like a new beginning.
