Alpine Pasqueflowers …

… were in abundance on our walk to the Cabane de La Torche today. This is the sulphur variety in French, for obvious reasons. Latin for the purists amongst you… Pulsatilla alpina subsp. apiifolia. I was definitely running on empty today, the travelling stresses of the past few days have definitely caught up with me! Now we are having a series of storms coming through in response to the hot weather here, Everyone is hoping they will reduce temperatures from 30 degrees!

Thanks so much for the presents for yesterday’s marbled white butterflies too.
