Loch Lomond in April

As usual I took Dornie and Shuna down to Milarrochy this morning for their walk along the lochside. I was struck by the blend of subtle colours on the hills and in the reflections on the water.

It's the same old tree again, but this month the hills are looking less wintry with the snow all gone. The level of the loch is considerably higher too, the result of recent rain.

Another difference this time is the number of walkers we met on the West Highland Way now that the weather has improved. Although the sky is very cloudy it has stayed dry so far today, but the forecast for tomorrow is dire.
