Wound up in Wexford

A day of "April" showers which made getting the laundry dry a taxing affair - it's now hanging on the creel in the studio - which led to a discussion about how we will get our laundry dry in Ireland in similar circumstances - will there be a suitable place for the creel?  We aren't sure - something to be sorted once we are settled in.

We sorted out the undersink cupboard where much of our cleaning liquids are kept, and a couple of little shelves in the downstairs loo where the rest was stored.  Some of the bottles we found had been brought by W and myself from our respective households 9 years ago.  We have been fortunate enough to have someone to clean for us here, but she uses the things she prefers, and some of the stuff we brought is just not in her repertoire.  We had 6 different bottles of carpet cleaner - we have very few carpets here, and will have even fewer in our new house.  Two were almost empty, and have now been emptied down the drain and the bottles put into the plastic recycling, and I think we might "accidentally" leave a couple in the cupboard.

The photo is the first flower of the year on our standard rose - a lovely colour - I will be sorry to bid it farewell.
