Smile... it's 0% interest

Back to the dentist this morning... he has smoothed down the new onlay a bit and it's more comfortable now.  Fingers crossed.
The dental practice waiting-room is full of posters with beaming patients, their expensively-maintained teeth gleaming.  The not-so-small print reassures the reader that the eye-watering costs can be paid in instalments.  It's a very long time, now, since what remains of NHS dentistry was freely available.  Some places lack any NHS practices prepared to accept new patients; our practice still does NHS-funded treatments, but there are many options that NHS funding no longer covers. Grrr. I am now one of those who pays for extensive conservation work on ageing teeth.
Anyway, rant over.
Or at least, that rant. Richard and I plan to watch the BBC Panorama programme tonight, all about the ongoing 'partygate' saga. Now disgruntled junior staff from 10 Downing St, knowing that the boss has thrown them under the proverbial bus, are feeding personal accounts and photos to the media. Some worms have turned. I still wouldn't put money on Johnson resigning any time soon, despite incontrovertible evidence that he misled Parliament.  What will it take, to shift him...?
More cheerfully, we had a lovely day with Frieda today. We planted sunflower seeds, made banana smoothies, spent happy hours engaged in make-believe scenarios with toy animals.
