surprise…

…visitor

in the form

of a pigeon

on the balcony railing - shocking me and the boo - as we were - bird stalking a couple - of house finches - at the feeders - this afternoon and then - suddenly in a flurry - of wings, there he - landed atop the - railing surprising all - of us to pieces

this isn’t the - 1st time a pigeon - has visited the - premises so the boo - was better behaved - merely pawing at the - glass as if - to say ‘hello’ - instead of getting hysterical - the pigeon was calm - and sat staring - at us for a good - 5 to 7 minutes or so - while we stared back - i’m not certain - what it wanted - since it didn’t move - at all during - that whole time - then without warning - those precious wings - opened up and off - he flew into the sky

leaving behind a disappointed boo - but making me - realize how every - encounter with nature - is a wonderful gift - from our creator abba - and we should take - time to embrace these - kinds of moments - with gratefulness as well - as gratitude knowing how priceless - they are and that moments - like these will always lead to…
