Love a DCUK!

A spring lunch with the WI today at the local golf course…with a plus 1! MC had a job interview so Grandma was summonsed  to babysit at short notice. He was a little angel and charmed all the old dears :-) He’s added two skinned knees to his list of injuries since I last saw him…though his chin is healing well.

It was all go here last night…eldest called round with a plunger to unblock the downstairs loo which has been misbehaving of late. He had no joy so lifted the covers on the inspection chambers outside and found they were all blocked. A phone call to Northumbrian Water and someone arrived a couple of hours later…he managed to lose his drain rod end amongst the blockage so had to call in the big guns to blast the drain free! It was about 11pm when they’d done but they need to come back and put cameras down to see what the problem actually is…a possible drain collapse beneath the road was one possibility. As I’ve been out I don’t know whether they’ve been back today or not.

The tulips are definitely looking worse for wear now but it’s the only photo today…although warm it’s blowin’ a hoolie and the intermittent showers have been very heavy so I haven’t taken the wee one a walk.
