Southern Damselfly ….

(Coenagrion mercuriale) … sitting on a rock after checking out our pond. I liked the wing shadows here, makes it look like it has more wings!  Couldn’t make up my mind between this and the extra which shows the M shape on the second segment, indicating a male if I have understood the description correctly. Did some gardening today and definitely feeling better out in the sunshine.
