More scenery

… is what we experienced for our drive today. 395km west to Crystal Brook near Port Pirie. This area was settled by Europeans in the 1800s and the first landholders had sheep on a 560 square mile property. The township was established in 1873. We came straight to the van park to set up and will explore tomorrow.

The country is more settled than the NSW side of the border. I don’t know why. The settlements ( tiny) are every 50km or so and there was phone reception most of the way. We travelled just south of the Flinders Ranges and the country side was very pretty for a lot of the journey.
