Bunnahabhain or other places?

Our week on Islay was up so we left our cottage. The ferry wasn't until 3.00pm so we had some time to spare.  We went to Bunnahabhain - jut a little beach and a distillary. We had a drink while watching the coast for otters and we were joined by a man who was a local coach driver and  was waiting for a group to emerge from touring the distillary.

He showed us what had been his dad's shed on the beach and told us about his family as well as putting the world to rights.  It was a great "ships that pass in the night" moment.

As we left to go back to the main road I spotted this whiskey barrel with Bunnahabhain on one side and Other Places on the other.  It just had to be my blip!

We had a very calm crossing to Tarbert then after stocking up on provisions drove to Campbelltown on the Kintyre Peninsular where we had a flat for two nights.
