Hairy Bikers

Day out at Elsecar Heritage Centre with Huddsbird. We had a good wander round the shops and overheard that the Hairy Bikers were on site doing some filming but it was a private event and the public wouldn't see them. That wasn't quite the case, round the next corner we found a small group of people waiting to see them come out of the office. We caught a couple of glimpses of them and Huddsbird managed to get a good picture of them.

It was a glorious sunny day and quite warm so we had a nice picnic lunch in the local park and then a walk round the nature reserve followed by a longer walk along the canal, stopping at a pub for a quick drink on the way back. As we returned to the heritage centre we discovered the Hairy Bikers were outside doing the last bit of filming. We hung around for a while, along with a few others, like paparazzi on the side of the road. We were rewarded with some good photos and eventually found ourselves alongside the guys as they finished their filming. They were really nice and friendly and left us saying "Goodbye ladies".

Back to Huddsbird's for fish and chips, the end of a really nice day. I am now back home, having thoroughly enjoyed my few days off.
