Garlieston, Galloway

This used to be a busy port both for people and cargo. In the second world war trials were carried out of various landing platforms for the invasion of Normandy. It was named the Mulberry Project. Today it is mainly leisure boats that use the harbour, along with a few fishing vessels. There is a pub and caravan site, but the only shop is at the service station that only sells diesel.
