back on my bike

Inspired by Philiphoto to take a cycle trip from home and along the Greenway to Ripley in search of local wild poppies. Failed to find them but this persicaria/bistort - also called dragonwort apparently - was looking lovely along the riverside, where we stopped with our flask of tea and enjoyed a dipper on the far side of the river, a lovely first outing back on the bike.
Been in the garden this afternoon-lots to do-plenty growing wild there!
Son was short of a fourth to play paddle board this evening so I made up the numbers and enjoyed the company of three young men - it’s quite a fun game
