Escape!

Started the day with the usual bellringing and then a restorative coffee break in Costa. We made plans to ring on Saturday to coincide with the town procession through the Jubilee community fields.  It is also the local 500th ParkRun so it is going to be a hectic morning. Just time to get the Parkrun in, dash home, get showered and changed and head to the tower.

Whilst I was ringing, Leo had headed to the gym and in perfect timing as we headed home after coffee, he had finished at the gym and was heading home too.  After a quick shower and turn around for us all, it was time to head to Exeter to test our little grey cells and see if we could take on the Escape Room.

Well we didn’t quite make it! We could have done with 5 minutes more.  We had discovered all the clues and treasure and just had to put 3 pieces of evidence in the right order - as we were doing that the clock ran down.

Now we have the hang of it, we will have to do another one as it was good fun.

After that we had a nice lunch out and then popped to Sports Direct to get Leo some new footie boots as his current pair are just a bit too tight. We couldn’t find anything that fitted right in his size so will have to look online instead.

The town’s bollards have been kitted out with crowns for the jubilee celebrations this weekend. Sadly 9 went missing the first night they were out, despite being tied on tightly! So the yarn shop put out an online plea to customers for some jubilee flowers instead as there is not time to make a load more crowns. Cara, the owner of the yarn shop, is going to magic up some decorations with these to cheer up the bald bollards. I made a few so will drop these in on Monday and will see if she needs a few more. Hopefully, if lots of us make a few there will be more than enough to create some sort of display.

Such a shame people have to spoil the fun.
