Saturday

Crappy photo but seems only one I took on Saturday. We walked into town the weather was sunny and quite warm.

Banged into a neighbour on the walk down who is just back from holiday - a two week cruise that her mum and dad took siblings and partners away to spend their money. she had a terrible time. She caught Covid on the ship! They all tested clear going on but as happens with Covid, and on a cruise ship a breeding ground for passing on germs, quite a few folks caught it and the ones that did were sent to an area on their on in a little room to recover. Horrendous. She still feeling quite breathless.

We sat at Cafe Tabou outside - not been many of this here this Spring what with this crappy weather. The waitress tipped a latte on to the lap of the man on the next table! We got our croissants and 15 mins later still hadn’t had the coffee. I asked twice if it was coming and then when it did I said that it’s good to get them together as they are warmed and the waitress decided to take them away and give us another warmed one each to eat with the coffee. Anyway all was well in the end. It was lovely. I am still amazed why coffee is so expensive here than anywhere we were in Spain and Portugal.

Got mums shopping. Walked up to hers and boiled her potatoes ready for her mince at night. Good chat.

Walked back through the town and thankful that there isn’t much in the way of Jubilee Junk littering the shops. M and S have some memorabilia- tins with Queenies head and some other tat. WH Smith have a window display . Otherwise we are thankfully free of bunting and crap.

I cannot understand the fervour and excitement that people have for this family . The French had the right idea. We are stuck in the past and hope one day soon we can get rid of them all. Parasites!!
