Lily Anthers

I read this morning that the last Monday of May was chosen for Memorial Day because that is when the flowers would be in bloom. The holiday was originally called "Decoration Day" because it was meant to be a day for honoring the men and women who died while serving the U.S. military by placing flowers on their graves.
My lilies timed their blooming perfectly!
