Coast and castles day 3

Dundee to St Cyrus

44 miles of beautiful coastal route on a cool damp day. After a look around Dundee to see the Discovery Ship, HMS Unicorn and the V&A, then  we cycled past Broughty Castle and on to East Haven where we found a war memorial dedicated to Airedale terriers! We stopped in Arbroath for lunch then in the afternoon we found the most gorgeous beach at Lunan Bay and then stumbled across Dunninald Castle where the gardens were open for the afternoon. I think we met the poshest lady ever who lived in the castle and thanked us for 'calling in'. The last few miles took us over the North Water viaduct and up a massive hill in St Cyrus for the night. Fond memories of here from caravan holidays with my Auntie and cousins
