Day 8 Zamora to the Benavente 45 miles

Another easy  ride in the sunshine. We took a short detour to a crumbling old castle - Castillo de Castrotorafe.  It was fenced off but someone had helpfully cut big holes! Fascinating how huge the castle encampment had been. Lots of lovely wild flowers there. This is Mr PB cycling along the track after we had visited and eaten the rest of the biscuit crumbs that I bought, note to self, some biscuits are not suitable for cycle touring! 
Benavente is a nice enough little town but nothing much to see. It has a livelier evening life than last night, but it’s not raining yet.
