A Day In The Life

Memorial Day

Today’s a holiday in the US to remember our fallen soldiers; to the men and women who served and sacrificed their lives in defense of freedom and democracy, for peace and liberty; a day when flags are placed on graves, and flags are flown at half mast. Not only a day of parades, and cookouts, but also the unofficial start of the summer season • Many families, including my own, placed flowers at the graves of loved ones too. It’s a tradition that isn’t honored as much any more. MrsP and I rarely travel to the NH cemeteries of our family members so we remember them here in our gardens. They’re always forever in our hearts • We are feeling pretty much the same as yesterday, so other than watering what had to be done, and catching this chipmunk, it’s been a quiet day. We’ve been amusing ourselves with “Stranger Things” on Netflix • Peace & Love
