Abandoned eggs

These eggs have appeared since yesterday in the “wild” bit of the garden near the bird feeders.
They weren’t cracked when Mrs AMK first noticed them so I wonder if a collar dove or a pigeon has been caught short and just deposited them amongst the leaves ? Strange to find 2 of them. 
 
Golf this afternoon was also abandoned after the 9th as the dark clouds appearing over the Lomond Hills In the extra were about to drench us with rain - we stopped for coffee instead !
