Mostly Six Five Oh

Bluebells.

There is a dense crop of blue and whitebells that sprout every spring on the shady east side of the house. These plants predate our living here so our first spring at the house they were a happy discovery and I'm glad to see them return each year.

The visitor fern is back, it's much larger now in April than it was when I photographed it last year in July, so it's obviously happy and healthy and will be around for a while. I noticed today that poking through the fern fronds there's a chestnut (presumably stashed by a squirrel last year) that has grown a large shoot and leaves, probably not a good idea to leave that as it's only just inches from the house foundation!
