The usual mundane stuff in the morning including a walk to the shops (the direct route) and I had a few acceptable phone shots for a blip.

I decided that, although it was raining, we should brave the holiday traffic and have an afternoon drive. We might even find somewhere drier :) We tried Coniston and not only did we drive out of the rain but we timed it perfectly to get a free (of charge) parking space near the lake.

Within minutes of getting out of the car the rain reached us. Light at first but within 10 minutes it was torrential. Passengers were boarding the steam yacht Gondola so I was keen to wait and take some photos as she left the pier.

I’ve chosen an early colourful shot as the main blip and in extras are some of the Gondola, the Coniston launch jetty and finally the rain.
