Papaver oriental

A few chores this morning before getting changed grabbing a box of chocs to go with tea after lunch with friends, one of whom had come to collect me. 

We sat out in the garden after lunch, and it was lovely to watch the wonderful variety of birds on the feeders. A woodpecker did have a quick look at us before leaving, but we had blue tits, robins, sparrows, and a small group of gold finches making regular visits, except for this young blue tit, who was feeding then had a little doze, before feeding again. A super lunch in super company.
