Sadly we had to have a cherry tree taken down . Most  of it had  died but one branch is still flourishing.  This called for some skilful and dangerous chopping on the part of Tim, our tree surgeon, to salvage it.
 
Tonight was supposed to have been a tour of all the gardens by garden owners who had opened on Sunday, giving us an opportunity to see i.e. inspect the work of others.
 
Half an hour before we were due to start the heavens opened and we had nearly two hours of torrential rain. So its postponed until later in the week.
