A Really, Quiet, and Peaceful day........

Compared to yesterday, Abby and I had a really slow day today.  We both took some long walks ,there wasn't much movement out so we had a really peaceful walk.    Rain was coming in soon, you could feel it in the air and the breeze, but we didn't care.  We could just enjoy the birds tweeting , the bunnies hoping around looking for flowers and grass blades.  Abby even got nose to nose with a bunny but I was way too slow to capture the moment.
When we got home and ate breakfast, we found some old war movies on TV that depicted the courage and difficult times the hero's we honored yesterday.    I think it is so important to teach the history of this country and what men and women fought and died for.      That respect and appreciation can only be modeled by parents, friends, the history with all of it's ugly warts, and the hope for our future, and their's......
