Life through the lens...

By ValC

All fall down.

When we got back from the caravan we found the cotoneaster which was against our neighbour’s house had fallen off the wall onto part of our parking spot. It had got too too heavy. I should have cut it back or put more supports in the wall to fasten it to. It doesn’t cling like ivy.
The weather has been so bad we haven’t been able to do anything. However today, in between heavy showers, we cut part of it and managed to tie the rest back on the wall, much to the delight of dozens of bumblebees who love the tiny flowers which are just coming into bloom.
A great plant for wildlife. We have had wrens nesting in it, the bumblebees gather the pollen, and in autumn the blackbirds enjoy eating the red berries.

Mr C had his eye injection this morning. All went well and he was able to have his questions answered. Feels a lot happier now the treatment has been fully explained.
He would like once again to thank the 4 nurses who dealt with him at Pinderfields Hospital.

Finally Congratulations to Bradford for being awarded the UK City if Culture 2025.
A real boost for the city, and well deserved.
