Sunrise After Storms

"Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." - Psalm 30:5.

A cold front moved into our area late in the afternoon Friday, bringing with it severe thunder storms and a tornado watch that lasted through Friday evening. The temperature dropped by as much as 36 degrees F in 24 hours. It was quite a major change in weather.

I awoke Saturday morning to this dramatic sunrise. The dark clouds were moving away and the sky was starting to clear: the promise of a new day.

The song to accompany this image is the wonderful REO Speedwagon tune, Ridin' the Storm Out.
