The Dial House

I saw this when in Reepham on Monday but had other blips in mind so we made a special detour on the way back from our day out. The time is accurate to GMT. When home I may add links to the history of the building.

Main visit was to Hickling Broad Nature Reserve, where swallowtail butterflies breed. We missed out on a tour but managed to spot three individuals, who were determined to remain anonymous, so photos are poor, extra courtesy of Mr Flum. There's plenty of birdlife, though, and the staff are super.

From here we dropped in on Sea Palling for a paddle and a coffee then went on to renew our acquaintance with Horsey Wind Pump (see extra), last seen some 40-odd years ago.

The heavy showers, threatened by a tempestuous sky, did not materialise and the day was sunny, though cool in the shade.
