A Royal Occasion

We enjoyed watching the Trooping the Colour ceremony which celebrates the Queen's 96th official birthday. We enjoyed the wonderful flypast. I think it's fairly well acknowledged that the UK does these things very well.

Later on we walked down through the village and were pleased to see that a royal visitor had taken time out of her busy schedule to review the passers by going up Fore Street. It's actually a wonderful tribute by or local knitters for the occasion and in the background is the Spitfire that they produced for our VE70 celebrations.

In other royal news, Prince Andrew was set to join the Royal Family at St Pauls Cathedral for the Jubilee service. Unfortunately he's tested positive for stupidity so now won't be able to attend.
