Lindisfarne

THURSDAY

We started the day at Bamburgh where we stocked up with crab sandwiches and cake. Then over the causeway to Holy Island ahead of the incoming tide.

We were on the island for around six hours before it was safe to drive back over the causeway to the mainland at 20:30. We spent the time exploring, bird and seal watching and a couple of hours in the pub where we played Uno.

Then a short drive to Berwick-uopn-Tweed where we heard the piper, saw the lighting of the Platinum Jubilee Beacon (see extra) at 21:45 and then finished off the evening with a curry from the Magna Tandoori.
